Albanian Translation
English to Albanian Translation Projects
We assist organizations with documentation or marketing material (e.g. brochures, manuals, website content, PowerPoint presentations, product labeling, etc.) that are written in Albanian and require accurate translation into English.
Of course, in addition to English to Albanian and Albanian to English translation assignments, we can also assist you with the translation of the world's most popular languages to and from Albanian: Arabic ↔ Albanian; Spanish ↔ Albanian; French ↔ Albanian; German ↔Albanian; Italian ↔ Albanian; Portuguese ↔ Albanian; Russian ↔ Albanian; Japanese ↔ Albanian; Chinese ↔ Albanian; Hindi ↔ Albanian; to name but the most popular... We can source translation expertise for virtually any language pair.
Albanian Language Style
Our translators, editors and proofreaders render well-written and clearly understandable texts. We place a high value on rendering a finished product that is faithful to the language style of the original text.
Albanian to English Translation Projects
We assist businesses in finding the best available Albanian to English language translation resources – including experienced Albanian language translators (native-speaking Albanian if appropriate or required).
In our experience, a Albanian language native-speaker may not necessarily be the right translator for the job. (See: Common myths and misconceptions about translation.) Though a native-speaker may be preferable for certain translation assignments, having Albanian as a native language may not 'translate into' Albanian language expertise (pun intended). An experienced linguist with strong Albanian and English language translation credentials, in-depth experience and professional credentials, regardless of native language, may often prove to be a better choice.
Identifying and securing the services of the appropriate Albanian language resources is what we do! (Refer to our Albanian translation assignment process for information on our Albanian translation project management process).
In a nutshell, we use professional translators who have a solid mastery of the Albanian language (grammar, spelling, cultural nuances) and a solid understanding of the subject matter.
Once we are confident that the appropriate freelance resources have been identified and certain that we can honour the project deadline, we submit a quote for the translation assignment.
If we cannot secure the appropriate resources, we will do our best to refer you to Albanian translation sources of information that we have confidence in.

The Albanian Language Landscape
Population of Albania: 3,619,778 (July 2008 est.)
Languages: Albanian (official - derived from Tosk dialect), Greek, Vlach, Romani, Slavic dialects
Internet country code: .al
Internet users: 471,200 (2006)
Albanian is an Indo-European language spoken by nearly 6 million people, primarily in Albania and Kosovo but also in other areas of the Balkans in which there is an Albanian population, including the west of Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, and southern Serbia.
The Albanian language comprises its own branch of the Indo-European language family. Some scholars believe that Albanian derives from Illyrian while others, claim that it derives from Daco-Thracian. (Illyrian and Daco-Thracian, however, might have been closely related languages; see Thraco-Illyrian.)
Establishing longer relations, Albanian is often compared to Balto-Slavic on the one hand and Germanic on the other, both of which share a number of isoglosses with Albanian. Moreover, Albanian has undergone a vowel shift in which stressed, long o has fallen to a, much like in the former and opposite the latter. Likewise, Albanian has taken the old relative jos and innovatively used it exclusively to qualify adjectives, much in the way Balto-Slavic has used this word to provide the definite ending of adjectives.
