IT & Software Language – Cultural Considerations
Our translators, editors and proofreaders render well-written and clearly understandable texts. We place a high value on rendering a finished product that is faithful to the cultural nuances of the target language text, where such may apply.
French to English IT & Software Translation Projects and French to Spanish IT & Software Translation Projects
We assist businesses in finding the best available French to English and French to Spanish IT & Software language translation resources – including experienced French language translators (native-speaking French if appropriate or required).
In our experience, a French language native-speaker may not necessarily be the right translator for the job. (See: Common myths and misconceptions about translation.) Though a native-speaker may be preferable for certain translation assignments, having French as a native language may not 'translate into' French language expertise (pun intended). An experienced linguist with strong Spanish and French or English and French language translation credentials, in-depth experience and professional credentials, regardless of native language, may often prove to be a better choice.
In a nutshell, we use professional translators who have a solid mastery of the French language (grammar, spelling, cultural nuances) and a solid understanding of the subject matter.
Once we are confident that the appropriate freelance resources have been identified and certain that we can honour the project deadline, we submit a quote for the translation assignment.
If we cannot secure the appropriate resources, we will do our best to refer you to French IT & Software translation sources of information that we have confidence in.

What is the Scope of IT & Software Translation?
"Software engineering: "Software engineering is the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software, and the study of these approaches; that is, the application of engineering to software.
Every IT & Software substance has one or more systematic names, usually named according to the IUPAC rules for naming. An alternative system is used by the IT & Software Abstracts Service (CAS).
The term software engineering first appeared in the 1968 NATO Software Engineering Conference and was meant to provoke thought regarding the current "software crisis" at the time. Since then, it has continued as a profession and field of study dedicated to designing, implementing, and improving software that is of higher quality, more affordable, maintainable, and quicker to build. Since the field is still relatively young compared to its sister fields of engineering, there is still much debate around what software engineering actually is, and if it conforms to the classical definition of engineering. It has grown organically out of the limitations of viewing software as just computer programming.
Software engineering is related to the disciplines of computer science, project management, and systems engineering. Software engineering can be divided into ten subdisciplines. They are:
Given the wide diversity of producers and products, all of which have their own peculiar technical challenges (from a linguistic standpoint), sourcing competent translation resources is a task ideally suited to a translation agency that is accustomed to identifying the 'right' resource for a given assignment.
